Experience

Most projects require PhD + relevant research experience. Preference is given for:

  • Hands-on lab work in synthesis, spectroscopy, electrochemistry, materials characterisation, laser/plasma systems, etc.
  • Publications in reputed journals
  • Specific skills mentioned in each project (e.g., polymer composites, Monte Carlo simulation, membrane development, etc.)

Selection Process

Step 1: Screening of Applications: All applications received by the deadline will be screened based on the project-specific qualifications, experience and the quality of the Ph.D. thesis and publications.

Step 2: Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. The interview committee will assess the candidate’s research aptitude, subject knowledge and performance. The final fellowship level (RA-I, RA-II, or RA-III) will be decided based on:

  • Quality of Ph.D. thesis.
  • Post-Ph.D. research experience (publications, products/processes developed).
  • Performance in the Selection Interview.
