Age Limit, Age Relaxation

- Maximum Age: 40 years (as on 01st May 2026)
Age Relaxation: 5 years extra for SC/ST candidates and Government employees.
Physical Standards and Physical Test (Qualifying in nature)
The candidate must have good physique and sound health. Persons with disabilities are not eligible.

- Male: 25 Km

- Only those who qualify in physical test will go to the next stage. Women candidates must bring a self-declaration certificate that they are not pregnant on the date of physical test.
- Candidates who apply for both Forest Guard and Forester do not need to appear for physical test twice.

Selection Process
The selection is done in the following stages:
Stage 1: Written Examination (85% marks)
- Conducted first. Only candidates who get the cut-off marks (different for different categories) will go to the next stage.
Stage 2: Physical Standards Test + Physical Test (Qualifying in nature)
- Candidates who clear written exam will appear for height, chest measurement and walking test.
Stage 3: Interview (15% marks)
- Only candidates who qualify written + physical will be called for interview.
Stage 4: Medical Examination
- Candidates who qualify written and interview will undergo medical check-up by Health Department, Government of Tripura. They must be fit for strenuous outdoor/field work.
Final Merit: Based on written exam (85%) + Interview (15%). Physical test and medical are only qualifying.
