NPCIL Kakrapar Apprentice Recruitment 2026- Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) has announced apprenticeship training at its Kakrapar site in Gujarat, this training will take place at Kakrapar Atomic Power Station, it is offered under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and will run for one year, the purpose of this program is to give candidates practical skill training in different trades.

However, it is important to understand that this is only training, after completing the apprenticeship, there is no promise of a permanent job or employment with NPCIL.

Age Limit (as on 06/04/2026)

  • Trade Apprentice: Minimum 18 years – Maximum 24 years
  • Technician Apprentice: Minimum 18 years – Maximum 25 years
  • Graduate Apprentice: Minimum 18 years – Maximum 26 years

Age relaxation: SC/ST = 5 years, OBC(NCL) = 3 years, PwBD = extra 10/13/15 years as per rules.

Physical Fitness Standards (Medical Test for All Posts)

Candidates must be medically fit as per NPCIL rules. A government hospital medical certificate (not below Assistant Civil Surgeon rank) is mandatory.

Selection Process

  • First preference to candidates living in nearby villages (within 16 km radius of plant site).
  • Merit list prepared on marks obtained in ITI / Diploma / Degree.
  • In case of tie: Older candidate (date of birth) gets preference.
  • No written exam or interview.
  • Final selection after document verification, police verification and medical test.

Stipend and Benefits

  • Trade Apprentice: ₹10,560 (1-year ITI) or ₹11,040 (2-year ITI)
  • Technician Apprentice: ₹10,900 per month
  • Graduate Apprentice: ₹12,300 per month

No accommodation, transport or hostel facility provided. No job guarantee after training.
