RRC SCR Apprentice Recruitment 2026- The South Central Railway (SCR) has announced recruitment for Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961 for the year 2025‑26. There are 2,801 training slots in 13 trades and this is a strong chance for candidates who have passed 10th class with ITI to get one‑year or two‑year training in railway workshops and divisions.

The online application process will start on March 12, 2026 and close on April 11, 2026, Training will be provided in different units across Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal and other divisions.

Minimum Age: 15 years
Maximum Age: 24 years (UR/EWS candidates)

Age Relaxation:

SC/ST: 5 years (upper age: 29 years)
OBC-NCL: 3 years (upper age: 27 years)
PwBD: 10 years (upper age: 34 years for UR, 39 for SC/ST, 37 for OBC)

Selection Process of RRC SCR Apprentice Recruitment 2026

No written exam or interview
Merit list prepared on average percentage of 10th marks + ITI marks (equal weightage)
In case of tie, older candidate gets preference
Document Verification & Medical Fitness Test
Final allotment based on merit and preference of units

Medical Fitness (Physical Standards)

Every selected candidate must submit a medical fitness certificate. There is no running or height measurement test. Only basic medical check-up is required.

Minimum Physical Standards (General Candidates)

Height: 137 cm
Weight: 25.4 kg
Chest: Expansion not less than 5 cm

Stipend

Stipend will be paid as per Government rules during training (exact amount depends on trade and year of training).
