Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)

Remuneration and Benefits

The total CTC is Rs. 30,000 per month (including statutory deductions). Plus other allowances as per rules:

  • Daily Allowance: Rs. 350 per day for on-duty on trains (100% for >12 hours, 70% for 6-12 hours, 30% for <6 hours).
  • Lodging Charges: Rs. 240 if night stay at outstation.
  • National Holiday Allowance (NHA): Rs. 384 per holiday worked.
  • Medical Insurance: Rs. 1,400 per month (up to 35 years) or Rs. 2,000 (36-50 years), reimbursement on valid bills.

Estimated take-home: Around Rs. 30,000 + allowances, depending on duties.

Selection Process

The process is simple and based on a walk-in interview:

  1. Walk-in Interview: Fill the application form (attached with notification). Submit it at the venue with originals, one set of attested copies and two passport-size photos.
  2. Shortlisting: Based on credentials and performance in personal interview.
  3. Offer Letter: Issued in merit order, up to 43 vacancies + 43 Reserve Panel.
  4. Medical Fitness: Pre-engagement medical test, must stay fit during contract.
  5. Document Verification: Antecedents check, false info leads to termination.

Scope of Work

You’ll monitor food quality and services in trains and kitchens:

  1. Supervise food production in Vande Bharat, Mail/Express trains, etc.
  2. Check quality in base/cluster kitchens.
  3. Ensure equipment works, pest control and cleaning.
  4. Travel all over India by train.
  5. Follow company policies.
  6. Manage manpower and materials.
  7. Handle passenger complaints and feedback.
  8. Ensure statutory rules.
  9. Train staff on upkeep.
  10. Coordinate with departments.
