Eligibility Criteria of DSSSB Recruitment 2026

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have the following qualifications from recognized institutions:

Legal Assistant (DPCC)1. Degree in Law from a recognized university.
2. Three years’ experience as Legal Practitioner or one year experience in Legal work in a Government Department.
Legal Assistant (DUSIB)Possessing Regular Degree in Law (entitling the incumbent for registration at bar and appearing before the courts) from a recognized university or equivalent and 3 years’ experience at Bar.
Legal Assistant (Law Dept)1. Degree in Law from a recognized university.
2. Two years’ experience as Legal Practitioner or one year experience in handling Legal work in a Government Department/PSU.
Legal Assistant (DTC)Graduate in Law from a recognized institution established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or Provincial Act, or a State Act, or any other institution or foreign institution approved by the Central Government. At least one-year experience of working with advocate and enrolled with Bar Council. Should have knowledge (read and write) of Hindi Language.
Assistant Engineer (Civil) (DJB)Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
Assistant Engineer (Civil) (DAMB)Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institution or its equivalent.
Junior Engineer (Civil) (DJB)Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university OR Three years Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized university / Board / Institute plus two years’ experience in planning, execution and maintenance of civil engineering works.
Junior Engineer (Civil) (NDMC)Three years Diploma in Civil Engg. from a recognized institution.
Grade – II (GNCTDSS) / Assistant Section Officer (Services Dept)Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University / Institute.
Assistant Section Officer (DPCC)Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University. Basic Knowledge of Computer.
Assistant Section Officer (DUSIB)1. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from any recognized University.

Age Limit (as on 25/03/2026)

  • Age limits vary by post: For most, not exceeding 30 years, for some 18-35 or 32 years.

Age Relaxations:

  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years
  • PwBD: 10 years
  • PwBD + SC/ST: 15 years

Salary and Benefits

Pay Scale: Pay Level 6: ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400, Pay Level 7: ₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400 (Group B or C).
