- Technical & Tradesmen (9,175 vacancies) → Filled state/UT-wise as per domicile. Candidates must produce valid Domicile/PRC of the State/UT mentioned in the application at Document Verification, otherwise candidature will be cancelled.
- Pioneer Wing (20 vacancies) → Open to candidates from any State/UT. Separate All-India merit list will be prepared.
- 10% vacancies are earmarked for Ex-Servicemen (ESM) in both categories. If suitable ESM candidates are not available, these vacancies will be filled by non-ESM candidates of the respective category.

Disqualification
- Anyone who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person who already has a living spouse.
- Anyone who, having a living spouse, enters into or contracts a marriage with any other person.

- For Constable (Driver): 21 to 27 years (Born not earlier than 02/01/1999 and not later than 01/01/2005)
- For all other trades (including Pioneer – Mason/Electrician): 18 to 23 years (Born not earlier than 02/01/2003 and not later than 01/01/2008)
