Eligibility Criteria of Bank of Maharashtra Apprentice Recruitment 2026

Nationality / Citizenship

A candidate must be either (i) a Citizen of India or (ii) a subject of Nepal or (iii) subject of Bhutan or (iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 01st Jan 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania ( Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that of a candidates belong to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Govt. of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to examination/Group discussions/interview conducted by the Bank, but on final selection, the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate issued to him by the Government of India is submitted to the Bank.

Educational Qualification

The apprentice should be proficient in the local language (Reading, Writing, and Speaking) of the state /UT.

The apprentice should produce a 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/certificate evidencing one of the languages as the local language.

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age Limit: 20 Years
  • Maximum Age Limit: 28 Years
  • Age relaxations apply for reserved groups as per government rules

Stipend

  • Stipend: The apprentices are eligible for a stipend of Rs. 12,300/- per month for the engagement period of one year.
  • Additional Benefits: Apprentices are not eligible for any other allowances / benefits.

Duration of Training

  • One year

Training Hours

  • The apprentice shall be imparted training between 10.00 am to 05.00 p.m.

Selection Process of Bank of Maharashtra Apprentice Vacancy 2026

The selection process has these steps:

  • The candidates shall be required to register an online application on the bank’s website with a 12th percentage (HSC/10+2) / Diploma percentage.
  • Merit list prepared state-wise in descending order based on percentage obtained in 12th / Diploma.
  • If the same marks, older candidates ranked higher.
  • Aggregate of all semesters / years considered for merit.
  • Shortlisted candidates called for document verification.
  • The finally selected candidates shall have to submit their applications along with the requisite documents through the web portal https://nats.education.gov.in, they have to register themselves in the said web portal.
  • No online test or interview.

Final Merit: Based on marks in qualifying exam (12th/Diploma). In case of tie, by date of birth (older first).

Documents Required

  • Recent passport-size photograph (size 4.5cm x 3.5cm, 20kb-50kb, not more than 100kb, JPG/JPEG)
  • Signature (with black ink, 140×60 pixels, 10kb-20kb, JPG/JPEG)
  • Left thumb impression (on white paper with black or blue ink, 240×240 pixels, 20kb-50kb, JPG/JPEG)
  • A hand written declaration (“I, _ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”) (text clearly visible, black ink, 800×400 pixels, 50kb-100kb, JPG/JPEG)
  • 10th certificate / mark sheet (for date of birth and local language proof)
  • 12th (HSC/10+2) / Diploma mark sheets & certificates
  • Graduation mark sheets & certificates (if applicable)
  • Category certificate for SC/ST/OBC/EWS, if applicable (OBC Non-Creamy Layer, EWS valid as per rules)
  • PwBD certificate, if applicable
  • Ex-Servicemen certificate, if applicable
  • Any other relevant documents in support of eligibility

Candidates have the option of making the payment of requisite fees/intimation charges through the ONLINE mode only.
