Selection Process

The SSC CGL 2026 selection process consists of the following stages:

Stage 1: Tier-I Computer Based Examination (Objective type).

Stage 2: Tier-II Computer Based Examination (Consists of Paper-I for all posts, Paper-II for JSO and Paper-III for AAO). Paper-I also includes a Computer Knowledge Test and a Data Entry Speed Test (DEST).

Stage 3: Document Verification (Conducted by the User Departments/Organizations after final result declaration).

Stage 4: Medical Examination and Physical Standard Tests (For specific posts like Inspectors, CBI/NIA SI, etc., conducted by the User Department).
